What is ISO 27001 and why is Information Governance so crucial for Inhealthcare?

The ISO 27001 information security and governance accreditation assesses how effective an organisation is at managing risks to the security of their confidential information. The process highlights vulnerabilities in an organisation’s practices to ensure it is adequately protected against potential threats. It encompasses people, processes and IT systems.

Last week we were thrilled to hear we passed the latest ISO Information Governance accreditation meaning our digital health technology is now certified in both ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2013.

This achievement demonstrates Inhealthcare’s commitment to information governance and the safeguarding of our patient data. We strongly believe in the importance of information security and we’re dedicated to maintaining our high standards.

In addition to our ISO certifications of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2013, we also score 100% on the Department of Health’s Information Governance Toolkit (IGT) Level 3. This is a score which we’ve maintained since 2011 and is something very few other healthcare organisations can be proud of.

Here at Inhealthcare, we believe seeking a digital health vendor that takes information governance as seriously as we do, should be a crucial element of any digital health strategy. For more information around our digital health technology, visit our national digital health platform page.
