Huge congratulations to The Scottish Government Connect Me team! Last night, the team picked up the Digital Service Transformation Award, for the roll out of the remote monitoring blood pressure service, at the annual Digital Health and Care Awards in Edinburgh – and it is so well deserved!
There are more than one million GP appointments per year in Scotland just for measuring blood pressure. By rolling out a remote monitoring service, that is inclusive for everyone, the team are helping to create significant extra capacity within the healthcare system, whilst improving care.
The service has had more than 25,000 patients enrolled, with a further 1,800 added each month.
Inhealthcare is the preferred supplier of remote monitoring services for National Services Scotland, providing services in 12 Health Boards across the country.
Inhealthcare contracted with National Services Scotland in 2020 to help support healthcare professionals and patients through the COVID-19 pandemic. Our partnership has since evolved to include approximately 30 services for various cohorts of patients, from monitoring long term conditions such as our Blood Pressure Monitoring service through to Undernutrition services in care homes.
Morag Hearty, Connect Me National Strategic Lead
We look forward to continuing to work with you and helping you achieve the ambition ‘once for Scotland.’
